Amazing Aloe Vera

For the last six months I have been suffering from acid reflux as a result of my anxiety. After eating, my stomach would bloat to twice its natural size and eating certain foods would cause a lot of burping, belching and uncomfortable heartburn. I was miserable. I’m still waiting for an appointment to see a specialist but in the meantime, I knew I had to do something. I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I’ve always loved health stores such as Holland & Barrett. If I can solve a problem using natural remedies and herbs then I will. Every time I take medications subscribed by the doctor, more times than not, I suffer from many side effects. I’ve found that there are more benefits for me when I choose the natural remedy option, the products can be quite expensive but it is definitely worth it.

I was sceptical at first, when I read that Aloe Vera can help people with acid reflux. I tried some tablets that the doctor had prescribed for me and I couldn’t finish the full month long course because of terrible side effects, I was feeling nauseous, light headed and having headaches for days. The reaction to the tablets didn’t surprise me; my body just doesn’t like prescription drugs. I took a leap of faith and bought a bottle of Aloe Vera juice with cranberry; it isn’t diluted so it had a rather strong taste. I just mixed it with my apple and blackcurrant juice twice a day. Problem solved. At first, I didn’t see results but now that I have been drinking it for a while I do. Below are my reasons why Aloe Vera is so amazing.

Magic healing power. We all know that the Aloe Vera plant has many healing properties. Buying the Aloe Vera gel is helpful for sunburn, insect bites and rashes. So be sure to stock up on the gel, you never know when you might be in one of those situations.

Strengthens the immune system. Studies have shown that Aloe Vera is also great for balancing the immune system. Additionally, Aloe Vera can also reduce the effects of rheumatoid arthritis, some seasonal allergies, and other inflammatory immune disorders. I’ve always suffered with colds during the winter season, last year I had experienced about three colds by November but this winter because I’m drinking Aloe Vera, I haven’t had a single cold so far.

Cleansing the body. The western diet isn’t always good for our bodies and an occasional detox using Aloe Vera juice can be a great natural way of doing this. However, be careful when using Aloe Vera for this reason as too much of it can cause diarrhoea. Aloe Vera contains anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties that can help cleanse the body of toxins. Aloe Vera can give your body the vitamins and minerals it needs to deal with daily stresses and strains of modern life.

Healthy Skin, Hair & Nails.  Aloe Vera can also help your skin and nails. Aloe Vera juice has been known to repair collagen and elastin, giving you a natural and youthful glow. My nails have never been so strong, white and long since I’ve started drinking Aloe Vera juice. I had brittle nails that would only grow so far and then snap. Now I have beautiful healthy looking nails, thanks to Aloe Vera. It does great things for your hair too! Aloe Vera is full of vitamins and enzymes that can help you grow shiny and healthy hair.

What Aloe Vera contains. Studies have shown that the Aloe Vera is one of the few plants that contain vitamin B12, which helps with brain and nervous system. Aloe Vera also contains vitamins A, E, C, B1, B2, B3, B6 and folic acid. Plenty of good stuff to help you feel great!

Reduces inflammation. There’s also been studies that have suggested, drinking Aloe Vera juice on a daily basis can help with joint pain and improve joint flexibility. Aloe Vera has anti-inflammatory properties and although it won’t get rid of your joint pain completely, it will ease it, so give it a try!

Lowers cholesterol and blood sugar. Many people have studied the health benefits of Aloe Vera and the results have shown that drinking Aloe Vera can help lower cholesterol, boost blood circulation and stabilise blood sugar. A high percentage of diabetics claimed that they had a positive change after taking Aloe Vera.

Improves digestion. The most popular reason why people are drinking Aloe Vera juice. Many suffers of IBS, acid reflux and other digestive disorders have found relief from their awful symptoms after taking small amounts of Aloe Vera on a daily basis, me included. Drinking Aloe Vera juice freed me from the uncomfortable bloating and heartburn that I was experiencing after every meal. Another great think about Aloe Vera juice is its alkalinity, a lot of foods and sugary drinks that we have are very acidic and this is the main reason why we suffer from digestive problems; drinking Aloe Vera can restore the natural balance in your body.

Note: Make sure that you take the recommended dose of Aloe Vera because too much can cause problems. Also bear in mind that drinking Aloe Vera doesn’t fix the problem, it can only help to ease your symptoms.

Aloe Vera juice is most certainly not a magic solution and everyone will have a different experience with it, I just wanted to share my experience with you and suggest that you try it if you are suffering from any of these problems. You have nothing to lose.

We always have an option. We can either get some tablets from a doctor or we can try and treat our problems the natural way. When I think about all of the synthetic chemicals that are in prescription drugs and the possible side effects I could have from taking them, I have no doubts in my mind that natural remedies are the better option for me.
